Stamping mad

Since the weather turned really HOT last week I haven't really felt much like spending time in my craft room in the evenings, instead I've been spread out in the living room stamping and colouring, it's not all bad news as it means I have a collection of images now that I can make cards with.

As for me getting a Wizard...hmmm I haven't given up on the idea but I am still trying to talk my husband around. So now it's back to housework for me and then I plan on an early night.

Do I need a Wizard

Well firstly I should say that my Pro Markers turned up yesterday so I spent most of the day stamping and colouring, it's nice to have more colour choices now. Secondly I have been thinking recently about investing in a Wizard but I haven't totally made up my mind.

I have a Craft Robo already which is great but it's noisy and I can't have it set up full time, every time I want to use it I have to bring it into the bedroom as that's where the computer is. This means that there is around 5 days out of every 10 that I can't use it as my husband works night shift and the noise would just wake him up.

Not to complain to much about the Robo as it has it's good points but it took me ages to find a scalloped circle shape that cut smoothly and the only way to make these in advance is to cut them on white card and then ink them to the colour I need them. I guess that I could buy hand held punches for the scalloped shapes but they don't give the range is sizes and shapes that the Wizard would.

I think I need some help to figure out what everyone else uses although I have kind of settled on the Wizard i just need a final push. As it's my birthday in September I was thinking of trying to get it for then, although I may have it earlier if I can talk my husband into it.

Please leave a comment and tell me what you use, or think is best.

Saturday !!!

Well the weekend is finally here and I have the house to myself, that means I can spend the whole weekend crafting although right now all I feel like doing is going back to bed. I got creative last night and made the card below, it's not for a challenge or a swap, just because I felt like.

The stamp I used is made by Buzzcraft and is from there 'Fairy Doodles' range, not sure about the paper though as this is just a scrap.

So now I am off to jump in the shower, I want to be dressed in case the postman calls with my new Pro Markers, fingers crossed.

Not much time

Just thought I would drop by as I haven't posted in a couple of days, I haven't got to long though as I have to run out the door for work really soon. I just brought some more Pro Markers to add to my collection this morning so i can't wait to receive them as at the moment my collection is limited to 18 colours.

I haven't been able to do any crafting in the last 2 days as it's been so hot here I've spent my evening downstairs as it's cooler. I gave myself an ultimatum this morning though, I either sit upstairs in the heat tonight or take some stuff downstairs.

So now I am off to work.

Yet Another Challenge Card

Over at the Cute Card Thursday Blog they are having a sketch challenge which everyone should check out. I decided to use another Miss Anya image that I received in an image swap a while ago. I think the set is called 'Dressy' I really have to get these stamps as they are adorable. I coloured Miss Anya in using Pro Markers, the paper came from a 'DoCrafts - Daisy and Dandelion' paper stack.

I finally finished the card at around 1 am this morning and was going to post it then but I was so tired I ended up going to bed.

Another Challenge Card

I think I'm on a roll today as this afternoon I've been working on another card for a challenge over at the Stamp Something Challenge Blog. The challenge is to make a card with images / colours of summer. As you can see from my entry I used a stamped image of Miss Anya from 'The Greeting Farm - Rain Snow Shine' collection which is adorable. I must confess that I don't have the stamp set, the image was given to me in a swap and all I had to do was colour it with Pro Markers. After finding out how easy it was to work with, the stamp set along with others from The Greeting Farm have gone on my birthday list.

I chose a bright colorful paper from 'My Minds Eye - Bloom & Grow' collection, I just love this paper and it's been sitting in my craft room for ages as I felt like it was to good to use, I bit the bullet today and I'm really glad.

Challenge Card

I wanted to join in the challenge at the All Sorts blog, so I set to work yesterday thinking of ideas of how to turn there sketch into an actually card. After a little rummaging through my stamp collection I came across a Kanban Jungle set that I brought last month and decided I would use a cute monkey. I also grabbed some K & Co Scraps that I had lying around and put these to good use.

I think the card came out really cute and it has my style all over it, I think I'm going to use this same layout with the rest of the jungle stamps and will post them when I'm finished.

A finished card

I went back to work in my craft room and finished a card that I started this morning, I decided to use a stamp from Inkadinkado in there 'Patterned Pets' stamp set, the patterned paper is from GCD Studio's and is from the 'Sophisticated Frost' collection. It's not normally my style as I usually go with brighter colours and this looks rather classic but I just adored it.

I have decided to enter it into a challenge on a blog that I read, details can be found here , wish me luck and enter yourself there is a really great prize.

The first of many

So this is my first post on my brand new blog, I've had a blog before but found it hard to keep it updated. This time however I am going to make more time for it along with more time to actually craft. Hmm.... I'm just wondering if there was a way to add a couple of extra hours in the day or if i could grow an extra set of hands.

Before i post any of my work I guess I should go make something, I was looking through photo's of cards I have made but they aren't that recent and were taken with a really old camera, so don't look that good.
